Givabit was built during a Hackathon in London organized by Avalanche / Ava Labs in late May 2025. Avalanche is an ultra‑fast, highly scalable, Layer‑1 blockchain platform designed for building decentralized applications and custom blockchains with sub‑second transaction finality, low fees, and strong security.

Over the course of an intense two-day collaboration with Ilyas Stéphane Turkben (full-stack software engineer) and Athena Chong (developer), I was the sole designer on the team. I was rapidly responding to user experience challenges and ideating solutions under tight time pressure. In parallel I created a whole brand identity for the project and started out on a design system by building the first mock-ups for certain screens on spot.

The project was recognized with an Honorable Mention at the end of the competition, highlighting the strength of our concept and execution.
